I was absolutely amazed at the number of targets I heard with the X-5 that I missed with the X-8. Gobs of lead pieces, 22 cartridges, tiny low conductive pieces and a few goodies too. Got a large cent that I haven't been able to read the date on it yet. 5 flat buttons, 2 flower buttons, IHS or ISH button, 1900 and 1903 indian, and the best find of the day was this 1832 Bust half dime. I was happy to see that feller come out of the dirt!!!

I don't know what the ISH or HSI or IHS button is yet. The tub has all the trash I dug yesterday.

Aloha
I received my Sun Ray Stealth X-5 coil today and took it for a 3 hour hunt in a trash riddled park here in Hawaii. I used my Explorer 2 with the X-1 probe in the park with fast recover on and sensitivity At 30. the ground was very dry. The coil weighs next to nothing and performed better than as expected. The pull tabs and bottle caps were thick in places, but the Stealth X-5 coil sniffed out the coins with ease. My finds for the 3 hour hunt was 15/25, 15/10, 42/01, no zincs and 3 silver dimes. That comes out to 1 coin every 2 ½ mins. on average. The best part is that your arm still feels good after your hunt as you all know with the Explorer and Quattro even the 8 inch coil feels heavy after a while. If you like your X-1 probe and hunt in trashed filled parks you will love the Stealth X-5 coil and this is no hype job. Paul (Island Chips)

Well today was a very good day, I got out of work a little early and it was a nice day out here in Bellevue, upper 40's. So I decided to hit the local park for awhile. I put on my 5" sunray coil to get between the trash, at 1st didn't find much just a 1920 penny, so I decided to go over to the playground equip, well I got really mixed signal it have silver tones in it, and was hitting in the top right corner, and would move down from the top a little bit I thought it was a hot rock or an aluminum can, but I dug anyhow, dug down to about 6" and my probe was screaming, but it was not in the corner it was just a little lower for where silver hits,(Top right corner). I remembered playing with my detector a few weeks earlier and I found thats where silver dollars hit. I was thinking to myself there is no way that this is a silver dollar, that kind of luck happens to other people, not me. so I dug down a little more and ran my probe in the hole and the signal was gone, so I ran it on the dirt pile and BANG I had the tone and It was smaller that an aluminum can, looked a little closer, and saw the edge and it was silver I could not believe it...my first ever silver dollar..WOW, it was a 1901 O in probably EF shape. Well thanks for looking and sorry for the ramblings..HH
Ray

I went back to the same area that I found that siver dollar at just to check
and see if I missed anything, well I did, I found 12 indian head pennies
dating from 1873 t0 1907 and a Barber Dime dated 1903.  All were in an area
of about 3Ft by 3 Ft, but it started to get dark out so I had to leave Im
planning on going back tommorrow though, Ill let ya's know If I find
anything else.
Take care
Ray

Hi Ralph, that sounds great to me, the only other thing that I can say is that I love that 5" coil, I have found so much stuff with it, way more than with my stock coil. If you need some more pics, just let me know.

Finds with Sun Ray Stealth X-5 coil

Hi Ralph,

I'd be happy to be included in the testimonials section of the Sun Ray site. I've got about seven hours search time with the X-5 coil so far. I've used it to recover ground at sites I've previously searched that was either inaccessible, trashy or suffered from interference of some kind. I've used it at my own house, my brother's houses and the grounds of our church. In addition to the coins in the picture, I've found about $1.50 in spendible change. A large section of ground near our church hall was unsearchable due to interference from an unknown source. The Sun Ray X-5 works well in this area and I was able to recover six wheat cents. Feel free to use my name and location.

Thanks,

Got out for about an hour yesterday in the front yard of the house we're renting. Found this 1901-O Morgan Dollar about five inches down using a Minelab Explorer 2 with the Sunray five inch coil. Digital readings were between 00-22 and 00-26. Found two nickels, a dime and a penny also, all recent dates. One of my neighbors stopped to talk while I was digging up the dollar. Might get to check his yard after he watched me pull a silver dollar out of the ground.

Hi Ralph,

Here's the picture of my finds to date with the Sunray X-5.  I haven't been able as much as I'd like to because of work, but I think these are some good finds, considering that I've already worked these sites on several occasions with the Minelab 10" stock coil.

Thanks for including me on your website.
